Today it's my husband's birthday. I made his favorite dessert: tiramisu.
Here is my recipe:
3 eggs
3 spoons of sugar
500 gr. of mascarpone
italian coffee
savoiardi (sponge fingers)
milk
cocoa powder.
Separate the egg whites from the yolk and store them in a bowl.
Beat yolks and sugar with an electric beater.
Add the mascarpone and beat.
Beat egg whites in a bowl until soft peaks form. Using a spoon, gently fold eggwhites into the mascarpone mixture.
Pour the coffee in a dish and mix a bit of milk.
Dip the savoiardi biscuits in the milk and coffee mix, then align them in square dish with high sides.
Cover with the mascarpone mix. Make a second layer with savoiardi dunked in coffee and milk.
Cover with mascarpone mix and put in the fridge for an hour.
Take out to the fridge and using a colander put the cocoa powder on.
Put again in the fridge.
And here it is!
Mmmmmmm Tiramisu.....Love it but never tried to make it by myself. Thanks for the recipe - will try to cook it!
RispondiEliminaLove it! Thanks for sharing!!!
RispondiEliminaAlso my favourite, and Jagna does a good version :-) Don't you add Amaretto?
RispondiEliminaIf you skip the coffee and cocoa, and use syrup and berries (blackberries and cranberries) instead (and we add Vodka then) you have a very nice and fresh summer edition!
Thanks for summer recipe! I like Amaretto but I don't like desserts with liquor so I make a non-alcoholic variant!
EliminaHappy Birthday to your hubby and thanks for the recipe :)
